Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) unit is used to exploit, dispose, liquefy, store and offload natural gas. It is pertaining to the gas field exploitation at sea. The FLNG discussed in this paper adopts GTT No.96 membrane cargo containment system, and is designed for the gas field in South China Sea. Its hull structure strength is able to deal with the harsh sea state. According to the rule requirements of Bureau Veritas (BV), this article uses VeriSTAR hull software to analyze the yielding strength and buckling strength of mid-ship structure.
