Fatigue strength design evaluation of the main bearing block weld seam of two-stroke low speed diesel engine

It is necessary to check the fatigue stress of the weld seam of the engine frame in the design stage of the two-stroke low speed marine engine. According to the design specification of IIW, the fatigue strength of the weld seam in the key area of main bearing block was evaluated by combining finite element calculation with hot spot method. The evaluation results provide a basis for the reliability of the design, and provide a reference value for the subsequent test.
