In descending process, underwater production equipment may collide with the platform structure when it pass through the moon pool area due to the platform¡¯s swing, which would threat the safety of equipment and platform itself. This thesis designed and developed a simple and fully dismantled track-keeping device. With the X-mas tree guiding arm, or drill pipe guiding arm, the track-keeping device can be applied to different sizes of underwater production equipment for stabilization in descending process. Compared with procurement cost for mechanical guiding equipment, the manufacturing cost of this track-keeping device is significantly reduced. Therefore the device has an extensive application value in the field of marine oil and gas extraction engineering.
