In this paper, the finite element software ANSYS is used to perform modal analysis on a typical lashing bridge of a 21000 TEU ultra-large container ship, and its natural frequency is obtained. The calculated natural frequency is compared with the main engine and propeller excitation frequencies measured on the actual ship to find out the frequency order that may generate resonance. Large vibration displacement in the structure is found by analyzing the vibration mode, and a structural optimization plan was proposed. The rationality of the optimization plan was also verified by ANSYS. The related optimization suggestions could provide reference for the lashing bridges design of ultra-large container ships in the future.
