Nature gas, as a kind of green fuel, has a clear trend to replace fossil fuels used in power plants, either land-based or offshore. The LNG Power Supply Vessel is an integration of LNG receiver, storage, transport, re-gasification, electric power generation and transmission. It has LNG storage tanks and re-gasification modules, even self-driven propulsion system. Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard has successfully developed a new LNG power supply vessel which has a LNG storage tank of 32000m3 and a power capacity of 100MW. The vessel will be a one-stop solution of power supply for the island cities and coastal towns.
