In order to improve the measurement efficiency of hull surface plate and meet the requirement of intelligent manufacturing٬a method of measuring the accuracy of hull surface panel based on the geometric engine kernel is proposed. The point cloud data of the hull surface plate using binocular stereo vision measurement is optimized. A method of reconstructing the hull surface plate on the basis of NURBS definition is presented. According to the study of NURBS surface construction method and NURBS surface offset algorithm, the model of the hull surface plate and offset surface is established by using the geometrical information of measurement data. The boundary representation (B-rep) of the measurement data is obtained. The accuracy of the hull surface plate is identified by comparing the theoretical model of boundary representation with a pre-defined measurement model. Finally, an application was developed to verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed accuracy measurement method of hull surface plate.
