The sandwich plates as lightweight construction are widely applied in the ships and offshores. Taking a helideck as research object, uniformly distributed load, quasi-static load of rigid body, quasi-static load of rubber tire and dynamic impact load are introduced to simulate patch load in elastic and plastic load cases. The responses of sandwich plates and the distribution characteristics of contact pressure are analyzed. The stress and deformation under different loads are compared. The results show that local structural responses with high stress and high deformation occur in plate, which subjected to patch load. Core layer and its belt plate are significant part to offer sufficient rigidity and take more patch load in the plastic load case.
