LNG bunkering vessel and LNG fueled vessel are subject to increasing demand as a way of satisfying IMO’s emission control requirements. Those LNG tanks are expected to be able to hold Boil-off Gas (BOG) for a long time. This means that its structure is required to sustain high vapor pressure. In order to accommodate increasing demands, Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU) developed LNG bunkering vessels equipped with higher design vapor pressure of SPB® tank, which is a self-supporting prismatic-shape satisfying the requirement of IMO Type B independent tank. It has excellent features such as high reliability, robustness, no sloshing and the best space efficiency.

KEY WORDS: LNG as fuel; IGC code; SPB® tank; high design vapor pressure; bunkering vessel
